Seminar on prenatal and newborn screening - diagnosis 2017
On Dec 20, 2017, at the Windsor Plaza Hotel, VIET HUY Technological Scientific Equipment Co., Ltd attended the seminar "Prenatal and Newborn Screening - Diagnosis 2017".
The seminar was attended by government agencies including the General Office for Population and Family Planning, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the provincial Population and Family Planning Branches under the supervision of Tu Du Hospital (TDH), the Reproductive Health Care Center, the provincial general hospitals under TDH's supervision, hospitals with Obstetrics Departments, academic Obstetrics departments, and Tu Du Hospital.
The seminar aimed to review the 2017 prenatal and newborn screening and diagnosis program and propose directions for implementing the program in the 2018-2020 period.
Non-invasive prenatal screening and preimplantation genetic testing of embryos to reduce the rate of genetic abnormalities and birth defects were the main topics discussed at the seminar Prenatal and Newborn Screening - Diagnosis 2017.
