Viet Huy at Vietstock 2026: AIGS POCT for Livestock Disease Screening
From 21 to 23 October 2026, VIET HUY Technological Scientific Equipment Co., Ltd exhibited at Vietstock 2026 at booth H14, Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Ho Chi Minh City. At the show, Viet Huy introduced and gave live demonstrations of the AIGS POCT system, a rapid molecular screening solution for livestock diseases.
Vietstock 2026: The meeting point of the livestock value chain
Vietstock is an international exhibition and conference for the feed, livestock, animal health and meat processing industries, organized by Informa Markets. It brings together companies across the chain, from genetics, feed and veterinary medicine to farm equipment and processing. The 2026 edition took place under the theme “Building the livestock industry: Innovation, green transition and stronger competitiveness”.
According to the organizer, Vietstock 2026 featured more than 300 brands across about 10,000 m² of exhibition space and expected around 13,000 trade visitors from over 40 countries and territories. Alongside the exhibition, the program included about 80 conferences, technical seminars and special sessions, among them a conference by the Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) on a safe, green and competitive livestock value chain, conferences by the Animal Husbandry Association of Vietnam and the Vietnam Poultry Association (VPA), and a forum on antimicrobial resistance.
These topics show that biosecurity and disease control are top priorities for the industry. Effective disease control requires farms and veterinary authorities to detect pathogens early, right where samples are collected. This is the need the AIGS POCT system is designed to meet.
AIGS POCT: Rapid on-site disease screening
POCT (Point-of-Care Testing) means testing at or near the place where the sample is taken, instead of sending it to a central laboratory. The fully automated AIGS molecular PCR system (LifeReal) brings this model to animal health by integrating nucleic acid extraction and Real-time PCR into a single sealed cartridge, following a “sample-in, result-out” principle.
Key features of the AIGS system:
• Simple operation: about 2 minutes of sample preparation; the instrument automatically performs all remaining steps.
• Fast results: from sample to report in less than 1 hour.
• Closed system: reagents are pre-loaded in the cartridge, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and false positives.
• No dedicated PCR lab required: the compact design means users do not need to build a three-zone PCR laboratory or buy a separate extraction instrument.
The system is supported by a range of veterinary and aquaculture cartridges for detecting animal pathogens such as African swine fever virus (ASFV), PRRS virus, foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV), avian influenza virus (AIV) and Leishmania, as well as diseases in shrimp, freshwater fish and marine fish. Users simply scan the cartridge barcode to start a run, with no programming needed.
With these advantages, AIGS POCT suits farms, in-house laboratories of livestock companies, sub-departments of animal health and veterinary distributors that need rapid screening to contain and respond to outbreaks in time.
Live instrument demonstration at booth H14
The highlight of Viet Huy’s booth was the live demonstration of the AIGS POCT system. Visitors watched the full workflow, from loading the sample into the cartridge and placing the cartridge in the instrument to the final result. Throughout the three days, Viet Huy’s technical specialists also advised visitors on applying molecular testing to disease screening and surveillance at their facilities.
