Product Description

REALQUALITY RQ-SevenSTI is a qualitative Real-time PCR kit for the simultaneous detection of DNA from 7 common sexually transmitted pathogens (STI - Sexually Transmitted Infections) in a single test procedure, from a wide range of clinical sample sources including: urethral discharge, cervical swabs, vaginal fluid, semen and urine.

Certifications: CE-IVD

Class C medical device with a marketing authorization under Decree No. 98/2021/ND-CP

Key features: The product is optimized for molecular diagnostics laboratories that require high accuracy and optimal operating efficiency.

The REALQUALITY RQ-SevenSTI test kit enables the simultaneous detection of DNA from the 7 most common sexually transmitted pathogens (STI) in a single procedure. This supports rapid clinical decision-making, shortens patient waiting times and enhances the professional reputation of the testing facility.

The product provides a comprehensive view of the infection status through accurate identification of the following pathogens:

Typical bacteria:

  • Chlamydia trachomatis (CT): A leading cause of urethritis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.
  • Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG): The bacterium that causes acute and chronic gonorrhea, usually presenting as urethritis, cervicitis or proctitis.

Mycoplasma & Ureaplasma group:

  • Mycoplasma genitalium (MG) & Mycoplasma hominis (MH): Directly associated with non-gonococcal urethritis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and pregnancy complications (miscarriage, preterm birth).
  • Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU) & Ureaplasma parvum (UP): Commonly cause opportunistic infections, urethritis and cervicitis, and are associated with reproductive problems.

Parasites:

  • Trichomonas vaginalis (TV): A parasite that causes vaginitis with symptoms of itching and abnormal discharge.

Suitable sample sources: Urethral, cervical and vaginal secretions, semen and urine - suitable for both men and women.

Clinical applications:

  • Accurate differential diagnosis: Helps identify the correct pathogen in cases with similar symptoms (such as gonococcal or non-gonococcal urethritis), thereby optimizing targeted treatment regimens.
  • Screening of high-risk groups: Broad screening of pregnant women and people with risk behaviors to prevent community transmission and infertility complications.
  • Post-treatment follow-up and treatment management: Confirms negative status after treatment to ensure complete pathogen eradication and supports monitoring of drug resistance.
